A physician-scientist whose work has been cited nearly 10,000 times, Vivek Kumbhari has transformed lives through pioneering novel, minimally invasive flexible endoscopic procedures. In addition to his role as a professor of medicine and chairman of gastroenterology and hepatology at the Mayo Clinic, he is a cofounder and board member of Endiatx, a company aimed at delivering micro-robotics inside the human body to aid in the early detection of disease. His work is driven by a passion for harnessing telemedicine, automation and artificial intelligence to treat serious and complex diseases without a patient ever needing to enter a hospital.
