Why you should listen

Spencer J. Cox is the 18th governor of Utah and served as the 2023-2024 chairman of the National Governors Association. With a long track record of public service, he previously served as city council member, mayor, county commissioner, state legislator and lieutenant governor before being sworn in as governor in 2021. Through the "Disagree Better" initiative, he worked to promote healthy conflict and respect in politics. The initiative resulted in Disagree Better ads by 23 US governors, along with a study by Stanford University showing that the PSAs measurably reduced partisan animosity and improved favorability of the governors in the ads.
