Rumman Chowdhury helps develop transparent AI systems that embed humanism in their core algorithms. In addition to her work at Humane Intelligence, a nonprofit focused on the safety and ethics of developing generative AI, Chowdhury is the United States Science Envoy for Artificial Intelligence and a Responsible AI Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard. She's had bylines in notable publications such as the Atlantic, Forbes, The Information and was named in TIME's inaugural "100 Most Influential People in AI" list in 2023.
