Dorcas Naishorua

Why you should listen

Dorcas Naishorua is a Maasai climate advocate from the Oloosirkon ward in Kajiado County, Kenya. She holds multiple titles in the modeling industry, including Miss Climate Kenya and the world's first Miss Climate. She is also the founder of Isilan Community Based Organization, where she works closely with survivors of female genital mutilation (FGM) and child marriages to advocate for changes in their communities. She believes that empowering a woman is empowering a whole community. Motivated by the challenges of a prolonged drought in her community, she's committed herself to effecting positive change in environmental conservation, cultural preservation and social responsibility.
