Our first salon showed Sir Ken Robinson's "Bring on the Learning Revolution" talk and Kid President's Pep Talk. We had an interesting discussion about education and whether or not we feel it is everything it could be for our students. Our discussion also turned to the teachers and how they might feel empowered to develop more creative lessons even when the district curriculum seems to dictate exactly what to do and say in any given lesson.
