Join us at TEDx Coolhaven Women in 2025 for an inspiring exploration of Finding Balance. Building on the success of last year’s theme, Resilience and Renewal, this year’s event delves into the delicate and universal concept of balance. Whether it's in our personal lives, our communities, or on a global scale, balance is essential to create sustainable growth and meaningful progress. This year's event will explore harmony across disciplines, perspectives, and experiences, inviting us all to consider how balance can shape the way we live, work, and connect with one another.

In 2024, the theme of Resilience and Renewal brought together a diverse group of women to share stories of overcoming challenges and embracing new beginnings. From scientific insights on the human mind to stories of navigating professional and personal struggles, the event sparked conversations about finding strength in adversity. With a sold-out venue and an overwhelmingly positive response from the Rotterdam community, the first TEDx Coolhaven Women event laid a strong foundation for a tradition of impactful storytelling and idea-sharing.

This year, we take the conversation further with Finding Balance. Whether it's balancing innovation with tradition, growth with sustainability, or ambition with rest, harmony is a concept that transcends boundaries and unites us all. Through this theme, we aim to inspire audiences to reflect on how balance can be a tool for navigating an increasingly complex world.

Rotterdam itself serves as a powerful symbol of balance. Once devastated during World War II, the city has reinvented itself as a thriving hub of entrepreneurship, innovation, and international culture. Rotterdam balances its modern, cutting-edge architecture with its rich maritime history, and its cosmopolitan energy with a deep sense of community. This remarkable transformation makes Rotterdam the perfect setting for this year’s theme, as the city embodies the art of finding harmony in the face of adversity.

Coolhaven, located in the heart of Rotterdam, is more than just a place—it’s a living testament to the city’s story. Situated at the crossroads of the city’s industrial heritage and its modern revival, Coolhaven captures the spirit of transformation and balance. It’s a space where ideas converge, and where diverse voices can come together to inspire one another. By hosting the event in Rotterdam, we celebrate the essence of a place where resilience and harmony thrive.

TEDx Coolhaven Women is also deeply connected to Rotterdam’s international and entrepreneurial community, which has become a haven for women from all over the world. The city’s commitment to fostering collaboration and inclusion has made it a magnet for women leaders, innovators, and change-makers. This event is a reflection of Rotterdam’s vibrant and diverse spirit, offering a platform for women to share their unique stories and insights while celebrating their achievements.

On October 10, 2025, TEDx Coolhaven Women will invite you to engage with thought-provoking ideas, gain new perspectives, and discover how balance can empower us all to thrive. This event will bring together voices from across disciplines and backgrounds, creating an atmosphere of connection and inspiration. Mark your calendars and join us for a day that promises to leave you inspired to find your own harmony in an ever-changing world.

Let’s come together to explore the art of harmony—because balance isn’t just a goal; it’s a journey.
