In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Bhavishyaa Vignesh

Bhavishyaa Vignesh is a 13-year-old Space Tech and AI enthusiast with a passion for driving innovation in STEM. She has taught over 500 kids about space and STEM across the globe and is a two-time feature in Times of India for her groundbreaking app development and impactful achievements. Bhavishyaa is the Grand Prize winner of the 2023 Canadian Space Agency BrainHack and a TEDx speaker, where she advocates for #GirlsInSTEM and shares her journey of using social media to build a personal brand and inspire others. In her TEDx talk, Bhavishyaa shares how she used social media as a launchpad to build her personal brand, break stereotypes, and create real-world opportunities. Through her journey, she inspires others to use social media not just for sharing, but for creating lasting impact in their communities.

Sara Sun

Sara Sun is a high school junior with a unique perspective on education, shaped by her experiences in two very different systems. Growing up in China, she was immersed in a culture that prioritized academic achievement above all else. When she moved to the United States as a freshman, everything changed. She discovered the freedom to explore, ask questions, and embrace curiosity in learning. She’s also a passionate baker who turned her love for cookies into a small business, connecting with her community while experimenting with recipes and solving real-world problems. Today, Sara shares her journey—one of adaptation, growth, and the power of curiosity to transform how we learn and live.

Smriti Mehta

Smriti Mehta is a 16-year-old high school student passionate about making nutrition education simple and accessible for young people. As the author of a children’s book on nutrition and the founder of a nutrition blog, Smriti combines creativity and education to make health and wellness engaging for Gen Z. Guided by the belief that early education on nutrition is key to preventing metabolic diseases, she is dedicated to promoting nutrition education that empowers young people to make informed choices. In her TEDx talk, Smriti will explore why nutrition education matters, highlighting its wide-reaching benefits beyond health.
