In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Melis Köprülü is a 12th grader at ALKEV High School who is interested in the effects of technology and artificial intelligence on humans. Melis also loves researching how artificial intelligence could change human behavior.

Bulut Reyhanoğlu

Born in Istanbul in 1962, Bulut Reyhanoğlu studied business administration and worked professionally in the textile industry for many years. Reyhanoğlu, who stepped into production with the films Zenne and Çekmeceler, founded the site "ShortbyShort", a short fim viewing platform, after specializing in the field of film. Currently continuing his work without slowing down, Reyhanoğlu is the producer of the contemporary art documentary "Crossroads" and the feature-length film "Tell Me Your Darkness".

Can Atılgan

Can Atılgan is an 11th grade student at ALKEV High School. He has a distinct idealism about freedom and human nature. His wish is that of a world where every man is free and no other system but the ecosystem.

Delal Ünal

Delal who is now a 11th grader in Alkev Highschool, has always been very curious about human nervous system and complexity of the brain. She always wanted to know how exactly brain worked and why everyone’s perspectives was so different.

Deniz Sofuoğlu

Deniz "Sofu" Sofuoğlu is a person who adheres incredibly close to his ambitious ideals. He is interested in entrepreneurship and helping others. He belives that one day, the world will be mature enough to comprehend his visions of a united future and move forward as a collective. A true optimist, yet a growing one.

Duru Delikanlı

Duru Delikanlı is a 10th grader at ALKEV High School. Duru, who really enjoys watching TEDx talks and is curious about superstition, combined both interests and gave a TEDx talk on superstition and perception.

Duru Demirci

Duru Demirci is a 10th grades in ALKEV High School, who has a deep interest in human psychology and human behaviors aside from her interest in biology.

Duygu Yüksel

Therapist for Adolescents, Adults, Families and Couples Born in 1984, Duygu Yüksel completed her undergraduate education in the pyschology department at Bilgi University. She then completed her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a thesis at Okan University, followed by her Ph.D. in the psychology department at Arel University. In 2017, she founded Yüksel Psychology. She currently provides psychotherapy services both face-to-face and online at her clinic in Beylikdüzü. Her sessions are conducted using an eclectic approach with EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Schema Therapy modalities. Eylül Hekimci

For TEDx ALKEV'24 event, 10th grade student Eylül combines the theme of the event "Perception" with her interest in neuroscience and cognitive behavioral science.

Kayhan Dural

Kayhan Dural is a graduate of Kabataş Boys' High School and Boğaziçi University. He took on the roles of Chief Digital Officer in 4129Grey, Ogilvy and AKQA companies by adding positions in social media, data, strategy and creative departments to the sector story that started with mobile marketing. He is the creator of many domestic and international projects. As of 2023, he established the new generation creative laboratory Consciouslab with AI support. The initiative that came to life as of 2024 and combines taste and data is Gastromind's Co-Founder. AI, creativity, positive sciences, technology, data, innovation and philosophy are the focus areas. He is an entrepreneur, consultant and mentor. He is both a speaker and a former progamer. He has been the chairman of the jury in 10+ categories in more than 50 local and international juries in Creativity, Data and Technology domains. He has been teaching special programs and universities in various subjects since 2011.

Masis Aram Gözbek

Born in 1987, Istanbul. He was invited to some most prestigious festivals and won many international awards with Boğaziçi Jazz Choir including two World Championships. He attended countless competitions, festivals and master classes in countries like USA, China, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Latvia, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria and North Macedonia. He led workshops and performances with world-renowned choirs like Dekoor Close Harmony (NL) and Swiss Youth Choir. He won "The Most Successful Young Person" award at the 19th TOYP Turkey, the "Young Conductor Special Award" in the 35th International May Choir Competition Varna, YTU "Rectorate Award" and "The Music Entrepreneur of the Year" by METU. He is regularly being invited as a jury member or guest conductor to prestigious festivals like European Music Festival for Young People Neerpelt (BE), International May Choir Competition Varna (BG), European Festival of Youth Choirs Basel (CH), World Choir Festival (HK). He was one of the 12 finalists in the World Choral Conductiong Competition, Hong Kong. He was also one of the candidates of 2021 Fosco Corti International Competition for Choral Conductors in Italy. He initiated the Voice of Cultures Project and pioneered the establishment of choirs that will sing in 7 different languages in 7 different cities of Turkey. He launched the KOROHANE (Choir-House) platform in order to bring together everyone from all over Turkey who are devoted to choral music, and to share experiences with individuals and institutions who want to form a choir. He won the European Video Award 2021 with MAGMA & Boğaziçi Jazz Choir Family and 2022 Atatürk Youth Award with Boğaziçi Youth Choir. In 2022, he was invited as the conductor of the Chamber Choir of Europe to assist Sir Karl Jenkins during his concert and rehearsals with the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento in Merano, Italy. In July, he was invited as the masterclass leader to the Choral Conducting Masterclass in Corfu (Greece), organized by Ionian University and the University of Macedonia. Recently, he was one of the jury members at the competition for the Anthem of the 100th Anniversary of Turkish Republic. He is the founder and the artistic director of Boğaziçi Jazz Choir, Boğaziçi Youth Choir and MAGMA Choirs. He has been a trustee of Yücel Cultural Foundation since 2018. Besides, he is leading workshops and seminars about choral music and regularly working with choirs as a guest conductor both in different cities of Turkey and abroad.

Melis Çıbıkçı is an 11th-grade student at ALKEV High School. She has an interest in learning lesser-known information and connecting it to other topics to share with others.

Onur Fıstıkoğlu

Dr. Onur Fıstıkoğlu, who was born in Istanbul in 1982, is a graduate of Trakya University Faculty of Medicine. He also received emergency surgical internship training at Bangkok Vajira Medical College Thailand. Holding a certificate in Mesotherapy, Fıstıkoğlu currently serves as an inspector at the Medical Aesthetic Medicine Association and works at his clinic in Nişantaşı. He also holds certificates in various fields such as First Aid Instruction, Trauma, and Resuscitation Instruction.

Perihan Oya Şengül

Perihan Oya Şengül is a 11th grade student in ALKEV High School. Oya is interested in movies, films and cinematography. She also likes human psychology and how we interpret things and how things around us affect our perception.

Şafak Çak

Şafak Çak was born in Istanbul in 1975. In 2000, he left the Royal Art Academy and established the company "Şafak Çak Architecture & Interior Design". Çak, who has been working with Jennifer Lopez for 12 years, has also worked with names such as Paris Hilton, Naomi Campbell, Cameron Diaz, Beyoncé, Radamel Falcao, Cesc Fàbregas, and Lionel Messi.
