These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adline Castelino

Alice Abraham

Dr. Alice Abraham, the President of the IMPACT Group of Institutions, who transformed it from a polytechnic to a leading conglomerate in Engineering, Architecture, and Management Studies. With a multitude of academic laurels in her hat, she holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, a Doctorate in Computer Networks, and an MBA from IIM Bangalore, where she was the first woman President of the Student Academic Council of her program. Her talk, "ESG: The Invisible Forces at Play," will explore the crucial role of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors in shaping our world.

Angela Sarah D’Almeida

Meet Angela Sarah D’Almeida, an 11-year-old sensation with a voice that's bound to dazzle. Trained in classical Western vocal techniques at Vio Voi Music Academy, Angela also has a special interest in pop and musical theatre, setting her up to captivate your hearts. Angela has achieved remarkable success in the music world. She won the Platinum Prize in the Junior category (8-10 Years) at the Universal Stars Music Competition 2024. She also secured first place with honors at the International Youth Music Competitions (IYMC) in November 2023 and will perform live at the prize winners' recital at the Di Mienne Centre in New York this September. Additionally, she won the Gold Prize at the Beethoven International Music Competitions.

Ester Noronha

Introducing Ester Valerie Noronha, a versatile Indian actress, singer, composer, performer, and classical dancer, born on September 12, 1992. Starting her career as "Baby Ester" at age 8 on the Konkani stage, she quickly gained popularity as a child artist. Ester is renowned for her work in the Telugu, Kannada, and Konkani film industries, with over a decade of experience. She has won the Best Actress Award for "SOPHIYA - A Dream Girl" (Konkani), the Best Performance Award for "RECCE" (Telugu web series), and the Best Supporting Actress Award for "LANKE" (Kannada). With over 40 films in seven languages, her notable works include "Bheemavaram Bullodu" (Telugu), "Shakeela" (Hindi), "Lanke" (Kannada), "Sophiya" (Konkani), and "Recce" (Telugu). Frizzell Dsouza

Introducing Frizzell Dsouza, a musician from Mangalore whose acoustic pop and soft rock reflect the serene introspection of her coastal hometown. Inspired by the rolling hills where she grew up, her debut extended play (EP), The Hills Know of You (2022), was listed as one of the 10 best EPs of the year by Rolling Stone India. Frizzell was named Best Pop Artist/Singer-Songwriter by the Indian Music Diaries, marking her as one of India's noteworthy upcoming talents. Though she studied architecture, Frizzell's focus shifted to music during college. Her breakout hit "Foolish Once Again" (2021) has over a million streams, making her Spotify India's Radar Artist of the Month in May 2021. Her sophomore EP, In My Asymmetry (2024), blends electronic pop with influences reminiscent of Florence + the Machine and John Mayer.

Comprising Merlin, Vivienne, Shruti, and Chandana, the band performs both famous songs and original compositions, using their melodious voices to weave stories that connect with nature and address social issues. Their music is not just entertainment but a powerful expression of cultural identity and a call for social change.

Dr. Dhivya Kiran, is a distinguished educator with 15 years of teaching and 9 years in administrative roles. As the first Public Relations Officer of St. Joseph's University, he served for 8 years, enhancing the institution's reputation. Dr. Kiran holds a Master of Social Work degree from Saint Louis University, USA, and has worked with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York.A seasoned traveler, Dr. Kiran has visited over 52 cities worldwide, gaining diverse cultural insights. He has shared the stage with prominent figures and became a living organ donor in 2010, demonstrating his generosity. His contributions have been cited over 80 times in leading newspapers, and he has been honored with the prestigious Under 50 Award by Business Mint for his exceptional leadership.

Mrunalini Kunte-Aurangabadkar is a chess prodigy and seasoned mentor, Mrunalini has represented India at international championships and earned numerous accolades.

Ramesh Rao

Introducing Ramesh Rao, an artist whose works have captivated audiences since the 1970s. His art, whether abstract or figurative, reveals the images in his mind through the materials in his hand. Rao's unique style, inspired by real-life motifs, captures the sublime beauty of rural and rustic village life, from "Tangewallah" to "Roadside Vendors." Born in Udupi into a family of artists, Rao is a self-taught painter. He has received numerous awards, including the Karnataka Rajyotsav Award in 2019. Rao founded the Artists' Forum-Udupi and Drishya School of Arts, and has conducted art training programs for inmates at Tihar Jail, commissioned by the central government. He also runs "Gallery Drishti" in Udupi, supporting young artists. His works have been auctioned by prestigious houses like Sotheby's and are held in public, corporate, and private collections in India and abroad.

Rinaal Kottari

In a world teetering on the tightrope between work and personal pursuits, Rinaal Kottari harmonizes the seemingly discordant notes of profession and passion. By day, she wields the power of an engineer, meticulously designing the integrated circuits that drive our world. But when the clock strikes six, Rinaal sculpts her body and mind, a testament to the unwavering fire within. This self-taught artist, a maestro of movement and choreography, has acted in several Kannada and Tamil musicals and took home the Best Actress award at the Avishkaar film festival for her role in the short film “Haage Ulida Mathondu”. She is the co-founder of Ripple Factor Crew, NMAMIT, Nitte and her creative spirit extends beyond the stage as she is also the founder of Second Dockyard, a haven for sustainable fashion

Tauseef Ahmed

Introducing Mr Tauseef Ahmed, an animal rescuer from Mangalore with 15 years of dedication to rescuing and treating injured and sick animals on the streets. Handling everything, from venomous snakes, to mighty bulls, Tauseef has single-handedly rescued 19,000 animals, including 7,000 snakes. He is currently working on setting up a shelter for specially-abled animals in Mangalore. Tauseef considers himself lucky to represent the voice of his "voiceless kids" from the streets.
