In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Angela Fink

Creative Director, No More Plastic Ambassador

Angela is a fashion stylist turned creative director who has worked with brands to imbue their creative assets with lush images of the natural world. She is a co-founder of Dumont Creative Agency alongside her husband, photographer Kelly Bolton. Drawn to vast terrains and quiet expanses, Angela and Kelly venture into the planet’s raw locales and remote corners—seeking solitude and with it, space for contemplation and connection. Their treks serve as the inspiration for their client’s campaigns and for their design studio, a Search for Space, which strives to honor nature’s power and boundlessness. While traveling, Angela witnessed first-hand the impact of plastic pollution worldwide. Devastated by the toll of plastic waste on the natural world, Angela began the journey toward reducing her plastic usage. An ambassador for No More Plastic, she’s passionate about raising awareness about the effects of plastic pollution to brands and friends and advocating for mindful consumption.

A graduate of Political Science and History, Doina has gained broad recognition as an influencer, creative director, and sustainability thought leader. Labelled twice by Harper’s Bazaar as being amongst fashion’s most influential icons, and recognised thrice over for Best Personal Style by Elle magazine, Doina uses her platforms to not only highlight her personal style but also the positive, sustainable changes which the fashion industry can make. That blend of content creation and messaging has seen Doina garner attention from many elite trades including Vogue, Forbes, The Guardian, and The Times, and also speak at conferences including Google’s Startup Grind, the UN Circular Fashion Summit, and Web Summit. Recently Doina has been pursuing a passion for filmmaking and directing, implementing these skills into her existing campaign production and art direction for the brands with whom she works both in front of and behind the camera.
