In 2020, the unexpected COVID-19 epidemic swept the globe, claiming thousands of hundreds of lives, bankrupting millions of companies, and bringing billions of dollars of losses.
However, even ordinary people stepped up to fight against the crisis. Frontline workers armed themselves to teeth, confronting the virus face to face yet never fearing death. Scientists carried out experiments days and nights, exhausted yet determined to protect people’s health by harnessing the power of technology. Students, though quarantined at schools or homes, encouraged each other through the bridge of the Internet, to pass hopes on to society.
Supported by these tiny yet earnest efforts, the world is reborn. Cities are reshaped. Lives are reshaped. And minds are reshaped.
