Designed to belong and to be unique individuals.

Since we are about 7 months old, we perceive ourselves as separate persons. Since that moment we struggle balancing our need to belong with being recognized as unique individuals. We need to be part of society, to be included; but we also want to lead our own decisions and develop in our own personal way. We all bring diversity and at the same time there is always someone we can relate to, with whom we share experiences, opinions, likes and dislikes.
In this D&I salon we want to promote existing ways to include others. We are excited to use this TEDxJNJ forum to draw out how we as unique individuals can connect better with each other. Our colleagues on stage will open up to share real work and life experiences that have taught them lessons on the value of diversity. By providing insights into each other’s experiences, we hope to help you realize that growing as an individual is best done in an inclusive environment and that it is up to you to make this happen.
