In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Andrew Langberg

Founder of Reactiviation

With a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware, Andrew has always had two passions: one being sports and the other in helping others achieve wellness. Combining both and becoming a Personal Trainer was a great way for him to make a living and help people reach their fitness goals. Andrew enrolled in higher level classes and received numerous prestigious certifications in the field. After years as a Physical Trainer, Andrew advanced his knowledge in quantum physics, wave theory and many other deeper layers of how the human body functions and changed his career direction. Andrew developed a system called Reactivation. Reactivation has been used all over the world in major stadiums and arenas, on famous golf courses and tennis courts and countless other amazing venues. Every day he has the opportunity to improve people's lives as well as helping athletes perform at their highest level.

Denise Yosafat

Executive Coach, Writer, Facilitator & Speaker

Denise Yosafat is a an executive coach, writer, facilitator, and speaker. She has a background in Organizational Development and works with business leaders and teams to maximize their potential. She loves helping people overcome challenges, uncover blind spots, make positive choices, and create substantial shifts in their lives. She recently authored the book, "The Power of CHOICE - Six Steps to Get What you Want out of Life" to help people examine their choices and focus them towards positive change. On a personal note, Ms. Yosafat just celebrated 30 years of marriage to her wonderfully supportive and loving husband, Wally. They have three children, Jake, Ariella and Dylan, whom she adores and who continually inspire her with the daring, thoughtful, and savvy choices they make in their own lives.

James Pasch

Assistant Dean of Development & Alumni Relations at Case Western University School of Law, and Councilman for Beachwood, Ohio.

Assistant Dean of Development & Alumni Relations at Case Western University School of Law, and Councilman for Beachwood, Ohio. James’ passion for government and public service rose from an accident he had while in high school that required him to have multiple surgical procedures. He underwent these procedures at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, during which time former President George W. Bush prevented the use of stem cells for research. Believing such research could help those in a similar situation, Pasch says, “This formed my belief that what those elected to office do can have significant impact on people’s lives. I want to be a voice for the people, but also I want to listen to what people have to say because that’s just as important.” James Pasch currently has a seat on the City Council of Beachwood. James, a lawyer and a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. is an RPS alum.

Kavery Kaul

Independent Film Director & Teacher

RPS alum, Kavery Kaul, is an American independent film director and teacher. Born in India and raised in the United States, Kavery started her directing career with the film First Look, which won the title of the best cultural film at the Havana film festival. Kavery Kaul always knew she wanted to be a filmmaker. She read many books on the subject and travelled to New York City from her hometown in Martinsville as often as she could for film premieres. She produced her own film A Long Way from Home, a documentary about three teenage girls dealing with cultural, societal and economical differences. In fact, Kavery claimed to be one of the first Indian girls at Rutgers Prep, and she faced some of the challenges that the girls in this film encountered. This documentary is a great example of dealing with differences and accepting and embracing them. Kavery's films have been exhibited at numerous festivals, such as Telluride, London, Berlin, Sydney, Japan, India, Burkina Faso and Martiniqu

Scot Wittman

Dean of the Arts at Rutgers Preparatory School

Scot J. Wittman exhibits his work internationally, enjoying representation in galleries on both coasts of USA as well as Rome, Reykjavik and other European cities. Documentation of his work is found on his site www.mapographer.com. Mr Wittman also competes professionally in the world of Frisbee. Scot, who is the Dean of the Arts at Rutgers Prep, is an RPS alum.

Vaughn L. McKoy

Attorney, Author & Speaker

Growing up in Paterson, New Jersey, Vaughn L. McKoy worked hard to achieve excellence through athletics. He was awarded a football scholarship and was mentored by the attorney and business mogul, Arthur Goldberg. Through the assistance of Goldberg, Vaughn began a new life and is currently an Assistant United States Attorney for the State of New Jersey. He also worked as an executive and lawyer representing his company as one of the sponsors for the 2014 Super Bowl. Currently, he has a book titled Playing Up describing, "One man's rise from public housing to public service through mentorship".
