Maite Nazario
artist, social activist
I was born in Guatemala City to my beautiful mixed parents (my mother is Guatemalan and my father is Puerto Rican) in 1999. My childhood was composed of my family, my colorful Guatemalan culture and my love for art. I lived in Puerto Rico for about 4 years, and my freshman year of high school we moved here to the United States. Moving here was eye opening. The art program in my school really allowed me rediscover myself as an artist and reassured me that art is all I want to do with my life.
