Theme: TEDxChungChengU

The topic of this event was inspired by a quote from the book, “大島小島” (which literally means, “big island, small island”), written by a Taiwanese writer, HUNG-CHI LIAO (Mandarin: 廖鴻基). The main concept is from the quote of this book “ Fishes rely on the flow of water to move forward, but the definite direction that the fish choose depends on collisions with others.”
Through the TEDxEvent,we led the attendees to imagine themselves as fishes,which inspired by the speakers.Speakers who share their own revolution of specific subject and innovative ideas are assemble as water,and others who provide their points of view are fishes.Afterwards, people will be able to reach their own destination through self reflection.
In TEDxEvent”The Water and The Fish” , all the influential ideas are spread,within the ambiance of making the world a better place. After attending the TEDxEvent,we believe that all attendees will make a thorough self reflection,and take action to make the change.

Because of one college assignment,YA-TING TSAI started to take concern in the issue of international workers and immigrants who came from Southeast Asia. With the help of volunteers, they held lteracy award and reading group and spent a lot of time getting along with those workers to know the true feelings of working overseas and help them feel the warmth of their hometowns.She hopes the immgrants are able to get access to the books of their native languages and the songs of their motherland.
