Whether one is a “maverick” or a “misfit” is a matter of perspective. Is it positive or negative to be called a maverick? Is being a misfit a liability or an asset? At the 2014 TEDxDirigo conference, one thing that our speakers (and attendees) have in common is courage— the guts to make their own paths and pursue their individual obsessions.
Mavericks & Misfits will offer social, environmental and economic ideas from Mainers who are making an impact in the state and beyond. After five years of fall events, we know that when you gather mavericks and misfits together, extraordinary things can happen.
