Digi Youth Arts

Digi Youth Arts is a creative voice for indigenous youth, they empower indigenous young people through creative exploration and story-telling. Through innovative arts practices Digi Youth Arts advances culture by empowering the lives of indigenous youth to tell their stories. Digi Youth Arts promotes reconciliation and cultural competency by fostering compassionate relationships between non-indigenous and indigenous people. @DigiYouthArts

Vulcana Women's Circus

Vulcana run circus workshops for adults and children as well as developing community projects with all kinds of different communities; the focus always being on creating partnerships and empowerment through circus. Vulcana value women as leaders and role models, and believe that empowered women are essential in building and shaping strong communities. They use circus as a transformational tool which can build empowerment whilst encouraging expanded notions of “normal”.

Katei Chang

Katei Chang’s unique style and flare sets him apart from other artists and ultimately landed him an opportunity with a major record label, Victor Entertainment Japan. He draws on a range of styles of music to create his own innovative take on rock violin with incredible results. Katei now performs as part of an acoustic rock duo, Heart of Spades around the world. @KATEI_violin @TEDxSouthBank

Robbie Miller

Brought up on the silky smooth beats of Cat Stevens, Van Morrison, and Neil Young, local and Indigenous Brisbane boy Robbie Miller brings a delicate and passionate voice to the Australian singer-songwriter scene. Having won triple j Unearthed’s 2013 National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs), Robbie’s song ‘Don’t Go Walking Away’ gained national airplay, and he was instantly catapulted to attention as he earned a place on tour with The Paper Kites. @robbiemillerrr @TEDxSouthBank

Shane Currey

Shane Currey has a natural sense of curiosity - a craving to understand the meaning behind what brands stand for. His creative thinking and customer-focused approach helps brands determine what matters most to its constituents. @shane_currey @TEDxSouthBank

Steve Huff

Steve is a start-up specialist with over a dozen start-ups to his credit, in addition to being the Chairman of The Light Foundation, a non-profit organisation created to combat energy poverty through the implementation of sustainable energy and off grid lighting solutions in order to improve the health, education and economic situation of all people whom live their lives without electricity. @KelSoLar @TEDxSouthBank

Tenda McFly

Tenda is best described as an amalgamation of hip hop, spoken word poetry and indie-pop.He has released a number of mixtapes since 2010 when he burst on the scene with his Storyofmylife mixtape. He has performed at the first ever TEDxSouthBankWomen event in 2012. He is back this year to wrap up TEDxSouthBank 2014. @TendaCanFly
