For this event, we are featuring live speakers from the community who will give talks about various subjects and share their passions and visions for the world. By having the audience interact with each other and listen to these inspirational talks, we envision this event to be an opportunity for people to open themselves up to new ideas and perspectives which they may have never thought about before. Our hope is that this event becomes a local forum for ideas within our community that inspires people to connect, and even to change their lives, their futures and ultimately their world.
The theme for this event is “It Starts With Us.” We are trying to center this event on inspiring people in the school and local community to make a difference and follow their dreams. We hope to encourage everyone to take initiative and make a positive impact in the community around us. TEDxYouth@CCHS looks forward to showing that each and every one of us has the opportunity to make a difference and implement change; we just have to take the initiative. It just takes one person, one small step forward, in order to build the momentum for change.
