In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Kevin Crump

Kevin C. Crump is an executive with SunTrust Bank in Atlanta leading large-scale transformation efforts. Formerly a resident of London for 10 years, he spent most of his time as a management consultant with mid-sized and large companies across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Originally a New Yorker, he worked on Wall Street where he both gained and lost his sense of financial reality. Development work for Kevin has taken several forms in his travel to nearly 50 countries. He has led strategy development with Global Kids, a wonderful organization dedicated to youth development on a global scale. He has worked with small businesses in Ghana to overcome the typical challenges of growth through an AFFORD (a UK government funded non-profit). He is currently a board member of World Water Relief bringing clean water to rural areas in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. He is married, lives in Atlanta and loves scuba diving and mountain biking. He has his MBA from London Business School and a Bachelors degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Noah Maier

Noah Maier is an entrepreneur, activist, and leader. He won Mercer’s Wallace DuVall Leadership Award, co-founded the Triota Honor Society, and has served as a He is a featured speaker for the Georgia Gay-Straight Alliance Youth Summit, the Georgia Communications Association, and the Georgia Political Science Association. His activism has been featured in numerous media articles including two features in The Huffington Post and an upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine. He is currently working as a Communications Strategist for a United States Congressional Campaign.

Hasib Muhammad

Hasib Muhammad is the Program Director of Greening Forward, one of the fastest growing youth-led environmental non-profit organizations in the world. He as a passion for public speaking, and he tried to spread the message of youth voice and how it benefits everybody. In his spare time, he enjoys writing and spending time with friends. In the future, he wants to be a neurosurgeon.

Dr. Kevin Drace

Kevin Drace earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2008. Since then, he has taught a wide range of courses as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Mercer University. His goal is to provide opportunities for his students to combine their education and research skills with service in a life-long, sustainable approach. He and his students work with international mining communities to investigate the health and environmental impacts of artisanal and small-scale gold mining.
