Somewhere between the dystopian visions of ecosystem collapse and unrealistic utopian fantasies, the roots of Australia’s Net Zero future are already taking hold. What if we were to make the most of the solutions, innovations and technologies that exist today — where would that get us? Some of the greatest leaders and thinkers in their fields are already working to make sure this is the vision of the future that takes hold.

Chris Andrew is currently working with First Nations enterprises committed to nation (re-)building. With an early career in global investment banking and the oil sector - Now — his focus has shifted to focus on supporting people and businesses that accelerate community and environmental outcomes. Chris is an invited non-Indigenous advisor to a number First Nations organisations. Including The Waluwin Foundation: which was founded by Paul Girrawah House. The Waluwin Foundation is a social enterprise working to establish new banking and finance systems to support the purchase of freehold title farmlands by First Nations people. To revive traditional agricultural practices that care for Country and support communities.

How we feel about Climate Change and the huge challenges that lie in addressing it — can define how we take action, or not. But time is running out to keep procrastinating, and everyone can play a role in implementing the changes and solutions we need to achieve Net Zero by 2050. So, what does motivate people into action?
