Ahmad Mansoor Ramizy

Astronomer
Ahmad Mansoor Ramizy, a well known Afghan figure, leads astronomy and science outreach efforts through media programs and authored two astronomy books. He founded The Voice of Science Afghanistan, producing YouTube podcasts and a science magazine. Ramizy initiated the Astronomy Club at the American University of Afghanistan and serves as Program Director for Ideas Beyond Borders in New York. He completed high school in Kabul and now studies mathematical and physical sciences at the University of Toronto. Ramizy advises organizations like Save the Children Afghanistan and works with Astronomers Without Borders. He advocates for peace, education, and enlightenment in Afghanistan.

Ahmad Siar Ahmadyar

Artist
Ahmad Siar Ahmadyar is an Afghan artist proficient in painting, drawing, and graphic design. He graduated from school in 2012 and subsequently pursued his passion for art by enrolling at the Institute of Fine Arts. After two years of intensive study, he furthered his education at Kabul University, specializing in the Art Faculty. Siyar holds a bachelor's degree in calligraphy and a master's degree in visual arts. Currently, he focuses on graphic arts and digital art, showcasing his talent and creativity in these mediums.

Ali Eftikhari

Author
Ali Shifa Aftikhari was born in 1995 in Yakawlang, Bamyan, Afghanistan. At the age of 4, he immigrated to Iran with his family due to internal wars in Afghanistan. They resided in Iran for 11 years, facing numerous difficulties, before returning to Afghanistan in 2010. Upon returning, Ali continued his studies at Abdul Rahim Shahid High School in Kabul city. In 2016, he enrolled in the Bachelor's program in Persian literature at Kabul University. After graduating, Ali embarked on a diverse career path, which included teaching, editing, book designing, and contributing to magazines and website content creation. For the past six years, he has been actively involved in literature as a professional, specializing in storytelling, literary criticism, and teaching fiction.

Hamed Walizada

Entrepreneur
Hamed Walizada, a successful Afghan entrepreneur, is dedicated to fostering economic growth in his homeland. He earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Law & Political Science from Kabul University and Business Administration from Dunya University in 2015. Walizada founded three thriving companies: Zodbar Cargo, specializing in airfreight solutions; Angoora Fruit, processing and exporting Afghan fruits; and Lapis Village, focusing on the mining and processing of Lapis Lazuli. He participated in a workshop on Islamic Financial Support, co-organized by ACCI, SCSA, and the EU. Known for his leadership, sales, marketing, and logistical expertise, he continues to seek knowledge and maintain a healthy lifestyle through reading and swimming. Walizada's story is a beacon of hope for aspiring entrepreneurs worldwide.

Muzhda Akbari

Muzhda is a passionate high school student from Afghanistan, now living in Canada, she is dedicated to making a positive impact through her various projects. Muzhda founded CodeGreenAfg, which won the Youth Change Makers Challenge and significantly improved the lives of young girls in Afghanistan by promoting education and technology. Committed to continuous learning and personal growth, she constantly challenges herself to acquire new skills and tackle new challenges. Her ultimate goal is to use her abilities to create a better future for herself and those around her. Believing strongly in the power of individuals to effect change, Muzhda is determined to leave a positive mark on the world and looks forward to connecting with others who share her vision and collaborating on meaningful initiatives.

Nasratullah Mateen

Environment and Climate Change Specialist
Nasratullah Mateen is an environment and climate change specialist, activist, and author. Committed change-maker promoting environmental awareness and sustainable development in Afghanistan and beyond. With a background in Environmental Sciences and International Development, he focuses on climate change, social justice, and women’s rights. As a speaker and mentor, he engages in various conferences and workshops, leading national and international youth organizations. Author of "Environment Protection Culture" and founder of grassroots organization Samsoor Watan. Former senior environmental expert at NEPA Afghanistan.

Nima Asi

Author & Poet
Nima Asi was born in 1995 in Panjshir province. He completed his schooling at Tembaneh high school in Malimeh Panjshir city. He is a graduate of public administration from "Ahifran" University of Türkiye, with a bachelor's degree. He learned literature as an amateur in his youth. He has a collection of poems called "مرگ داراف" which has been published in Turkish and Persian languages.

Rafi Samim

Rafi Samim is a multifaceted professional dedicated to leveraging technology, education, and volunteerism for meaningful social change. With a robust background in technology, civil work, and leadership, he founded Youthopia in 2020, leading initiatives like Bood Nabood, See Her Empowered, and The Hope Project. As the founder and director of DevLab, Afghanistan's first tech community, Rafi empowers youth, especially women, through technology and entrepreneurship. A passionate writer, his children's book "Ayesha's Dream" inspires young girls to pursue education despite obstacles. At TEDxShar e Naw, Rafi will share his experiences and discuss crucial skills for the next decade, inspiring the audience to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Sanzar Kakar

Sanzar Kakar is an international entrepreneur and business leader, with a diverse portfolio of ventures spanning finance, technology, and consultancy. Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School. Notable for founding Afghanistan Financial Services and expanding into various sectors, advocating for formal financial markets and foreign investment in Afghanistan. Recognized for community service and commitment to addressing humanitarian crises, particularly through initiatives like HesabPay.

Ziaulhaq Shams

Media Specialist
Ziaulhaq Shams is an Afghan media manager, sociologist, and education activist with over 12 years of experience in media and sociology. He has offered more than 20 sociology sessions at the French Cultural Center. He has participated in hundreds of cultural and intellectual events as a speaker or panelist. He has conducted sociological research on gender biases. He is the founder of several social and cultural organizations, such as Ketab Lwast, Hope, and Future Social Association, as well as a research journal on status and many more. His articles have been published in various popular outlets like BBC, Radio Zamaneh, Today Afghanistan, and others. He has given more than 500 sociological interviews on youth matters on international media such as BBC, Radio Azadi, and Ashna Radio. He is recognized as one of the most prominent media managers, having produced some of the best media programs. He is known for his thoughtful, well-behaved, and educated character.
