Have you ever wondered how people are able to tell their stories on the infamous red dot? Well, you are in the right place. Every year TEDxUStreetWomen hosts a Talent Showcase where the audience decides who will be the next TEDx speaker.
At our Talent Showcase, we believe that everyone has a story to tell, a talent to share, and a voice that deserves to be heard. Whether you’re a seasoned public speaker or someone who has never stepped foot on a stage before, the Talent Showcase welcomes anyone with an idea worth sharing. We give contestants an opportunity to present their ideas on the prestigious stage in 5 minutes. During these 5 minutes, they strive to convince the curation team and the YOU audience members of their TED-worthy speech. The winner will get the chance to stand on the main TEDxUStreetWomen stage.
This year's theme is The Future of Global Democracy. As democracies worldwide face mounting challenges, communities across the globe are mobilizing to reform systems and reignite civic culture. We are excited to open the stage for individuals to use their voice to start conversation around the top of Global Democracy (we accept other ideas as well). Join us as we listen to people who can spark a new kind of conversation focused on realistic pathways towards a more vibrant and equitable future.
Your ticket includes your opportunity to vote for the next TEDx speaker, learning more about the Future of Global Democracy through the eyes of our contestants, and lots of networking with like-minded individuals. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to be a part of something truly special. See you there!
