Theme: A Circle with many centers and no circumference

Borrowed from Haruki Murakami's short story "Cream", this theme invites us to imagine the unimaginable - a circle with many centers and no circumference. But how is it possible to do so when a single center and circumference defines a circle itself? Isn't that too difficult? Beyond our capabilities?
Yet the old man from the story says otherwise: “There’s nothing worth getting in this world that you can get easily” and that "...when you put in that much time and effort, if you do achieve that difficult thing it becomes the cream of your life".
Humans are complex creatures who are meant to explore complex notions, even if it is challenging for one to confront one’s ideals or open up to something new and unknown. And so we embark on this journey together, accompanied by unique personalities and extraordinary ideas that force us to think big and pushes us nearer to the "Cream of life".

Jovaras Kelpšas is a Lithuanian language teacher. Jovaras also works as a guide in Kaunas Art Deco museum and is a host of slam events organized by Kaunas Artists’ House.

Martynas Dirsė is a student in Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis Gymnasium, who is also a debater and debating coach. Martynas' interests include techological development, programming and graphing design.

Paulina Šalkauskaitė

Student

Paulina Šalkauskaitė is an aspiring diplomat who is also a team member of National Lithuanian Public Speaking Team, president of Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis gymnasium debate club, and a public speaking and debating coach.

Rokas Keršys

Civil service official + Activist

Rokas Keršys is a civil service official at the Ministry of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania. Rokas has worked in several social equity institutions such as the Center for the Development of Equal Opportunities and is very passionate about political affairs.

Rytis Zemkauskas

Rytis Zemkauskas is a well known Lithuanian journalist, television host and writer. Rytis has also been one of the organizers of Kaunas: European Capital of Culture 2022 project.

Saulė Pakrosnytė

Student

Saulė Pakrosnytė is a student in Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis Gymnasium, who is also an aspiring future biochemist. Saulė is a participant of numerous science competitions, a scout and a member of Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis debate club.

Saulius Skučas

Educator

Saulius Skučas is an English language and literature teacher, who teaches English both in national and international Baccalaureate programmes in Kaunas Jonas Jablosnkis Gymnasium. Saulius' academic interests range from literature, culture and civilization studies, foreign languages to politics, education and anthropology.

Skaistė Zubenaitė

Student

Skaistė Zubenaitė is a student in Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis Gymnasium who is also an aspiring visual performance artist. Through the movement of body and visual production, such as stational imagery, video, and live performance acts, Skaistė explores origins of social constructs and conceptualism.
