In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Shuqing Li

Opportunity Developer
The speaker Shuqing Li is a 7th grader, whose goal is to spread recognition on the message of our vast opportunity that is vague yet bright ahead of us, without allowing others' judgment to completely falter our own opinions. As well as for adults and those surrounding us to acknowledge the impact of how one’s word could lead and affect features of developing students. As to encourage them instead of being conceited in pushing your own ideals on them. In hopes of becoming more embracing and open-minded, the speaker goes through trial and error to those surrounding her in order to obtain the goal. She enjoys reading books from all categories, especially those involving a dystopian world where the character gradually grows awareness of the situation involved. Though, through the reading some may have unexpected twists and developments, in her opinion it adds to the enjoyment of reading the book.
