Theme: infin8 : A Journey Beyond Limit

The theme for this year’s TEDx CCET is “Infin8”, which serves as a transition from 8 to infinity, representing the transformation of an entity from an amateur phase to a phase of being limitless without a defined beginning or end. ‘8’ reflects the concept of an endless loop in which anyone can start from any point at any time. The theme highlights the assurance that a solution awaits as we navigate through the loop of hardship with determination.

The true nature of the theme also encourages us to travel through wide ranging perspectives. One such perspective is shifting 8 horizontally, symbolizing growth is iterative despite the frustrations.

Oncologist/Medical Mentor

Dr. V. P. Gangadharan, a name synonymous with hope and resilience, has dedicated his life to the fight against cancer. Known as one of India's foremost oncologists, he has played a pivotal role in demystifying cancer treatment which has made him a beacon of hope in the medical community. He is fondly called as the “Saint with Stethoscope” and is a recipient of the highly prestigious Kerala Sree Award.

Lt Col Rishi Rajalaksmi, SM

Indian Army

Lt Col Rishi Rajalekshmy, Sena Medal, was commissioned into the Indian Army in 2010. The officer is an alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He has participated in numerous operations both within India and abroad and was decorated with the Sena Medal for Gallantry for an operation in which he eliminated a Pakistani terrorist and inflicted injuries on a Hizbul Mujahideen militant, who later succumbed to his injuries. During the encounter, the officer was shot in the face with three bullets and miraculously survived. He has served in diverse terrain profiles, including the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa, the Kashmir Valley, and various parts of the Thar Desert. Additionally, he is a Microlight Pilot. Academically, the Officer is an Engineering Graduate with an MSc in Psychology, a PG Diploma in Disaster Management, and various other diplomas in military streams.

A gold medalist from NIT Raipur, Elamuhil chose the development sector after completing the "Youth for India" fellowship, where he supported Bodo tribal women in Assam with low-cost fish farming. He leads DHAN’s Centre for Urban Water Resources (CURE) and HELP, its education initiative, and has published research on water management.
