In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

This is Dr Beáta Albert who is considered a pioneer in her field, is not afraid of challenges and is particularly interested in problems that require special solutions. Alongside her work and family life, she also experiments with custom cosmetics.

Csongor Miklós

Although football was his passion early in his career, over the years he has developed a desire to find a role in the aid professions. He currently works as a psychologist, therapist and mental health counselor. His main focus is the question of why the "Szekler man" is so reluctant to seek help when facing mental difficulties or emotional distress.

Dénes Csala

Dr. Dénes Csala is one of today's leading researchers and thinkers. He has studied at prestigious universities around the world, travelled most of the globe, and is currently working at Lancaster University in the UK and Babeș-Bolyai University in our country. It is from him that new generations are learning and expanding their knowledge of data visualisation and business intelligence.

Edina Makai

Her love of art combined with gastronomy. She currently works as an assistant chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Salt. Her interests mainly focus on the use of ingredients and preservation techniques. She and her colleagues work with molds and different bacterial cultures, trying to create new and interesting flavors using these microorganisms.

Gogo Bethke

In 2003, she moved from Miercurea Ciuc to the US, where she worked as a babysitter, warehouse worker, waiter and jewelry seller. In 2011, she got her real estate license and soon found herself among the top in the sales industry. A successful entrepreneur, she has been featured on the cover of Success Magazine and Metropolitan magazine. She created a two-time Comma Club award-winning training program, and her TV show/podcast reached over 36 million viewers in its first year.

Katalin Bodor

Dr. Katalin Bodor is a scientist and a university professor. She works as a researcher at the Research and Development Institute for Wildlife and Mountain Resources in Miercurea Ciuc and as a lecturer at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania. She regularly publishes in national and international scientific journals.

Levente Szilágyi

His passion for IT has followed him from primary school up to this day. He returned home to put his knowledge and experience gained in Cluj Napoca to good use. He founded the coworking office The House and the software development company CamelCoding in Miercurea Ciuc. He has collaborated on various projects abroad with personalities such as Mike Tyson, Steve Aoki, Val Kilmer and William Lobkowicz.

Melinda Sabo

As a cognitive neuroscience researcher, she explores the complex relationship between human memory and concentration. Her work uses a wide range of methods, from behavioural analysis to modern brain imaging and automated learning techniques. She has presented her work at several prestigious conferences in Europe, the United States and Canada.

Radu Predescu

Radu Predescu spent 15 years in the mountain troops of the Romanian army, where he held various warrant officer positions. He is an experienced leader and soldier, with three combat missions under his belt. He also studied military science at home and abroad, where he developed his skills in planning, preparing and executing military operations. He currently heads the group's operational leasing division as general manager of Autonom. His philosophy is to put people at the heart of everything he does.

Rebeka Hatházi

Costume and set designer, PhD in film and media at BBTE Film and Media Film Directing. In addition to theatre set design, she has worked on short films not only as a designer but also as an actor and director. Most recently, she was costume designer and actress in the feature film Explanation for Everything, for which she received the Hungarian Film Critics Award for Best Actress in a Feature Film in 2024.

Szilárd Burján

Born in Miercurea Ciuc, he moved to Budapest at an early age, where he finished his studies. During his work, he gained valuable experience in the business sector in several countries. From Denmark to South Korea, his journey brought him back home, where he uses his knowledge and experience to represent the interests of Hungarian and Szekler businesses. He is committed to reforming the tourism sector as well as the real estate market.

Tímea Veres Nagy

How do we build a community and what is the path to social change? Since her teenage years, Tímea Veres Nagy has believed in the power of ideas and in harnessing the potential in people. She now lives in Sfântu Gheorghe and uses her skills as a project leader of the Sepsi Local Action Group Association to support isolated and marginalised local communities, ensuring their development and decent transition from need to change.
