In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Bea Boehner

Bea started Pace Academy in first grade after moving to Atlanta from London. Outside of school, you can find Bea in the recording studio or working on new music. She loves painting, graphic design, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family. She would like to thank her parents for supporting and inspiring her daily.

Carly Cannon

Carly Cannon joined Pace Academy in 4th grade. She is a part of Pace's literary meet team, winning two consecutive state championships in the women's solo division. Carly has received the Orkin Scholar and Renaissance Arts Awards. Outside of Pace, Carly dedicates her time to theater, pursuit this passion through Orbit Arts Academy. Carly would like to thank her family and friends who have supported her in all endeavors, no matter how big or small.

Gus Loomis

Gus Loomis joined Pace Academy in seventh grade after his family moved from California. Gus has a deep passion for sports and the arts. He is on the Pace Middle School football team and starred in last year's musical, Freaky Friday. Gus is a recipient of the Orkin Scholar Award and serves his community at Agape Youth and Family Center in Atlanta. Gus would like to thank his family for helping him with his speech and everyone on the Pace Academy TEDx team for helping him share his story.

Marco Juarez

Marco Juarez has been a student at Pace Academy since pre-first. He has a passion for helping others and dreams to be a mechanical engineer. Marco has spoken to multiple therapists and his talk will enlighten the subject of mental health. He is grateful to his therapist who have changed his view on loss and devotes his speech to his late father.

Sharman White

Sharman White graduated from Georgia Southern University and earned a Master's of Education from Coppin State. He is a ten-time GHSA Basketball State Champion coach (including two championships at Pace in 2020 and 2021). He was awarded the 2016 National High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year and the 2013-14 USA Today National Coach of the Year. Sharman also serves as the Head Coach of the USA Basketball Junior National Team where he has earned four gold medals in FIBA tournaments. He and his wife, Jemeka, have two children.

Vivian Kohn

Vivian Kohn came to Pace as a freshman. She has participated in both the JV and varsity cheer teams. Vivian is also the girls lacrosse team manager, a student ambassador, and a Peer Leader. She would like to thank her family and friends for always being there to support her.
