In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Carles Flinch

Chef

Carles, born in Andorra la Vella, is a master chef. With a culinary certification from the University of Montpellier, he trained in renowned establishments such as "Le Sardinal" and "Akelarre". Since 1998, he has been the manager and head chef of Can Manel. From 2002 to 2006, he chaired the Hotel Union of the Valls d'Andorra. He is currently a teacher at the Vatel school, and Carles is a notable cook within the Andorran gastronomic scene.

Being an economist has instilled a critical spirit towards the world around me, and being an educator makes it easier to fulfill his purpose: "Guiding individuals in their learning journey towards achieving their best version." He loves sharing ideas and turning every experience into an adventure.

David Hidalgo

Mountaineer, passionate about skiing and cycling,

David was born in Barcelona but he is considered Andorran by adoption since he has been in the country for 23 years. His past was related to the financial world, but now he can combine the world of business with his great passion, which is skiing combined with an extensive experience within the ski industry, ski resort planning and operation, organization of world-class sporting events, tourism and leisure management. He is recognized for his work as General Manager of SETAP 365 Grandvalira, and leading the Organizing Committee to host the 2029 Alpine World Ski Championships in Andorra.

Douglas Pate

Life Admin Coordinator

Douglas Pate is a Scot, 16 years resident in Andorra and 34 years out of the UK. An international businessman, polyglot and sportsman who qualified from Bath University with a Mechanical Engineering with French degree, 25% of the degree was studied in French. His career took him into steel and oil, then to distribution in IT, food and professional beauty products. Since 2013 one of Douglas’s main activities has been in “Emotional Communication” working with accountants, lawyers, technical startups, and lecturing at colleges and universities. A TEDx of 2017 gives insight to this field. Since 2010 his primary activity has been that of a Life Admin Coordinator for top level professional cyclists, coordinating with their teams and managers to obtain their residencies in Andorra and look after their daily admin once resident.

Katia Durich

Nutritionist

Katia is renowned for her expertise and extensive career in the field of nutrition and wellness, where she has made significant contributions through her private practice and collaborations on vital projects such as combating childhood obesity and diabetes, making her a recognized figure in the world of nutrition and wellness. Born in Andorra and with a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics ( University of Barcelona 2004), she served as the president of the College of Dietitians of Andorra for seven years. She is a co-author of various dietary guidelines published by the Government and the Crèdit Andorrà Foundation. Katia has contributed to various media outlets, including appearances on radio shows such as "Avui serà un bon dia" on RTVA and "Febre esport" on RADIO SER.

Magalí Salomon

Magali is 24 year old Andorran of French background. Highly motivated, highly driven from her early childhood that objectives can be achieved. By believing in your own ability to succeed your objectives will be made reality. Magali has been a successful female professional cyclist from 2019 to 2023. In 2023 she refocused her sporting objectives and became the U23 Vertical Kilometer Skyrunning World Champion. Magali has combined an ambitious legal career with her sport and is now a qualified lawyer working for an andorran company as business lawyer

Pancho Saula

Photographer & Lawyer

Born in Barcelona and became a licensed attorney in Spain and France. Currently residing in Andorra since 2018, Pancho's professional journey has been marked by a deep connection with the art world and wears many hats: an agent for artists, sports agent, model agent, art dealer, and fine art photographer. Pancho is known for his evolution from leading an Elite Model Management in Spain to becoming the owner of Galería Alta, specializing in photography art. His passion for art and dedication to representing talented photographers in the fashion and advertising industry are noteworthy accomplishments.

Susanne Georgi

Singer

Singer and business owner was born in Denmark, but have lived in Andorra for almost 30 years. She won severals Grammys and gold/platin records with an album sales on over 3 millions. Susanne is a vocal coach and owner of the artist academy “Stars Academy” in Andorra. She has formed and helped many artists to get on major Spanish tv shows as The Voice, The Voice Kids Got Talent and Idol Kids.
