The Technology, Design and Entertainment in Covenant University (TEDxCovenantUniversity) was first organised in 2016 by the university student community to promote, enlighten, encourage and celebrate ingenuity, creativity, and indigenous knowledge from industry experts and professionals to the undergraduate community.

TEDxCovenantUniversity aims to, through a diverse and enabling platform inspire and challenge Covenant University students to push the boundaries of Technology, Innovation and Creativity in proffering indigenous solutions. It's vision is to create an enabling student environment for the evolution of practical sustainable, and innovative solutions to Nigerian problems.

Alli Hakeem Ayobami

Ayobami Emmanuel Alli-Hakeem (born 1996) is a fast-rising Nigerian gospel and songwriter known professionally as “Anendlessocean” (pronounced “An Endless Ocean” and often abbreviated as “AEO”). Anendlessocean has garnered significant attention for his deeply inspiring and spiritually uplifting music. His journey into music began at a young age when his passion for gospel music was nurtured in church choirs and local music groups. His unique blend of contemporary gospel sounds with traditional African rhythms has set him apart in the industry.

Alma Asinobi

Alma Asinobi is a travel content creator and CEO of Kaijego - a travel information and planning company where she uses content to inspire people to see the world. She got her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Architecture but put it down to travel and tell stories of her experiences, people and cultures. She's currently on a mission to visit every country in the world in the next 10 years, so she spends her time travelling, experiencing people, telling their stories, and creating digital content to help people do the same, and plans wholesome trips for people who love soulful travel through her company Kaijego. She has built a social media community of about 200,000 people and enjoys creating content that inspires them to make the most out of where they are and what they have to build the life of their dreams

Anjola Olarenwaju

Anjola is a student of mass communication at Covenant University, a writer, song writer, and an artist who is passionate about climate change advocacy, child's rights , and education. She uses her art pieces to educate and sensitise people on effects, causes and solutions to some social vices in the world. She is currently a young influencer for UNICEF Nigeria. In 2019, Anjola was selected by the Creative Youth Community Development Initiative (CYCDI) for United Nations Convention on Child’s Rights to make a collaborative painting which was a direct interpretation of a poem originally written by Prof. Wole Soyinka. She advocates for Climate change, and was selected by Solution17 for Climate Action in Africa to create a masterpiece on the topic- “Lessons learnt from COVID19 to fight Climate Crisis: A Race We Must Win”. The painting was launched by United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed in September 2020. She has also worked with a team to create Climate advocacy paintings for COP26 and COP28. She has moderated quite a number of events both virtual and physical for UNICEF Nigeria.

Joshua Chibueze

Joshua Chibueze is the Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Piggytech, the innovative force behind Nigeria’s leading digital financial services platform, Piggyvest, and PocketApp who are on a mission to transform the financial habits of a new generation of customers. In 2019, Joshua made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, and in 2022, he became an Endeavor Entrepreneur. Joshua Chibueze is a graduate of Covenant University and the Stanford School of Business. With over a decade of experience, he is an expert in Brand and Product Marketing, Digital Transformation, and Customer Experience Design. His expertise encompasses multinationals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and a string of startup ventures.

Niyi Akinmolayan

Niyi Akinmolayan is a Nigerian filmmaker and director and one of Nollywood’s most successful hitmakers. Five of his films rank in the top 50 highest grossing Nigerian films: The Wedding Party 2 (2017) Chief Daddy (2018), Prophetess (2021), My Village People (2021), and The Set Up (2019). He is also the founder and Creative Director of Anthill Studios, a media production facility. In January 2022, Anthill Studios signed a multi-year deal with Amazon Prime Video to become the exclusive global streaming home for Anthill’s slate of cinema releases following their theatrical runs in Nigeria.

Prof. Conrad Omonhinmin

Conrad Asotie Omonhinmin is a Professor of Plant Biotechnology with particular interest in under-exploited African species; Biodiversity conservation, Molecular Systematics, and Big data in Molecular Biology. An Environmental Impact Assessor, a senior faculty, the Head, Biotechnology Research Cluster at Covenant University and the current Director, for Research, Innovation and Discovery at Covenant (CUCRID). He is actively involved in Open Science/Access advocacy for future and better African contribution to Science, Technology, Engineering Mathematics and the Arts and Social Sciences; the National Contact Person OA2020, and Co-ordinator, Open Science at Covenant University. He is a consummate biodiversity conservationist, and educationist with a drive for the transformation of African Higher Education, particularly in Research-based, Open and future education. A contemporary multidisciplinary academic researcher and regionally and globally collaborator for infrastructure and capacity development in Education management and institutional audits, Student management, Staff development, Curriculum development, Qualitative research, Scholarly communication, and Progressive academia leadership experience. He is a biostatistician with expertise in statistical reasoning, a seasoned counselor and Life Coach.
