In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adriatik Kelmendi

Adriatik Kelmendi is a well-known journalist, TV presenter, and media executive in Kosovo. Kelmendi has made significant contributions to the media landscape of Kosovo through his work in journalism and broadcasting. As a journalist, Kelmendi has been actively involved in covering various topics, including politics, social issues, and current affairs. Through his authorial show “Rubikon”, he has provided valuable perspectives and information to the audience, contributing to a better understanding of the local and global events. With a diverse range of experience, Kelmendi made his mark as a News Managing Editor and Columnist for "Koha Ditore”, the largest Albanian-language daily in Kosovo. Additionally, Kelmendi's role as the CEO of Klan Kosova demonstrates his leadership skills and business acumen. While Adriatik is a lecturer in the Faculty of Mass Communications at University of Prishtina and AAB, he has also published several books such as "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and “How Can We Live Elsewere When Paris Exists?”.

Dea Luma

Dea Luma is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture at the University of Tokyo, where she has also completed her doctoral studies. Her expertise lies in the innovative field of Neuroarchitecture, a discipline that combines Neuroscience and Architecture. Through this new field, Dea is able to gather practical knowledge of the impact of architectural design on the human brain. In addition to her academic activities, Dea worked as a partner architect at an architectural design office in Tokyo. In this role, she focused on interior design and expanded her field of work through projects between Japan and Taiwan. Dea's experience extends even further, as she has been a trainee at Riken Center for Advanced Intelligence Project in Japan. Here she looked deeper into the link between Neuroarchitecture and patients with Alzheimer's disease.

Ismet Sijarina

Ismet Sijarina is a Film Director, Producer, Scriptwriter, Activist, and Professor living in Pristina, Kosovo. Ismet is a staunch advocate of social issues, which has led him to be engaged in Documentary films for years. His debut Feature Film, COLD NOVEMBER, premiered at San Sebastian's 66th International Film Festival in 2018, and the same had a Netflix release on November 2022, thus becoming the first nationwide film shown through this platform. His films were screened and won numerous awards in many festivals, including San Sebastian, Thessaloniki, Sarajevo Film Festival, Zurich IFF, Bosporus, Goteborg, Karlovy Vary (Student's competition), RiverRun, goEast, Saint Louis, and more. Ismet has been a European Film Academy member since 2018.

Labentinë Shala is an emerging fashion designer who has made waves in the industry. Currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Akademia Evolucion, she is learning from prominent fashion designers, fueling her passion for creativity. Her artistic prowess was evident when her painting, “Medusa,” ranked among the top ten in a global competition. This early recognition set the stage for her future endeavors. Labentine’s breakthrough came with the prestigious “Albanian Designers Competition,” where her innovative designs propelled her to the finale, solidifying her reputation. Labentine’s creations have graced over 50 international magazines, including Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Grazia, and more. Her brand, Labentine, offers unique zero-waste, transformable clothing, merging beauty with functionality and embodying the slogan “fearlessly authentic.” With sustainability at its core, Labentine inspires fashion enthusiasts worldwide with her distinctive style, while staying true to her deep connection with nature.

Vjollca Robelli Mripa

Vjollca Robelli Mripa is a singer, composer and musician renowned for her unique style and inspirational messages. Originally from Kosovo, she relocated to London in 2005, where she perused her passion for music by studying vocal performance and earning a bachelor’s degree in music and media management. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to preserving Albanian cultural heritage through her artistic expression. In 2022 was been invited to open the prestigious EFG London Jazz Festival at the GRAND junction. Her talent has graced venues worldwide, including the spectacular Royal Albert Hall, on its 150th anniversary. Her EP, featuring powerful tracks such as “Burrnesha” and “Besa” gained recognition through their inclusion in the documentary film ‘I am Burrnesha”. This Bulgarian production delves into the tradition of sworn virgins in the Albanian highlands and had won several awards in different European countries. Vjollca Robelli Mripa’s musical journey is an embodiment of her unwavering commitment to her roots, and she continues to inspire audiences with her captivating compositions and profound cultural storytelling.

Zana Tabaku

Zana Tabaku, Co-founder & CEO of Appdec, is a prominent figure in the local tech industry and a passionate advocate for empowering young Kosovar women in the ICT sector. As one of the first female entrepreneurs in Kosovo's ICT industry, Zana is reshaping professional orientation and ambition for young women. Her journey began in 2005 when she chose to pursue software development over university. In 2009, she co-founded Appdec, driving the company's vision and achieving its mission. Zana's passion for STEM education led her to mentor and participate in hackathons and ICT events, expanding the market of skilled professionals. Recognizing the underrepresentation of women, she is one of the organizers of Girls in ICT Week for two consecutive years. Zana's expertise spans software development, project management, and organizational development. Currently pursuing a Data Science program at the LSE, Zana remains committed to promoting gender equality and empowering young women in technology.
