Theme: Alter[ed]

TEDx MHPNHS Youth is a one-day student-led event that aims to provide a platform for sharing transformative stories and ideas sourced from the school community.

It is the first-ever TEDx event to be held in Malolos at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Capitol) that will be hosted by Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School.

Guided by this year's theme ALTER[ED], the program features a diverse set of speakers, consisting of students, alumni, and educators, all of whom will deliver eye-opening talks to a live audience.

TEDx MHPNHS Youth is a platform for breakthroughs and realizations that empower the community to change, modify, and alter the nation.

Aini Jimielle Santiago

Student

Aini Jimielle G. Santiago is a First Year student in the University of the Philippines Los Banos, under BS. Development Communication. She is a former Senior Associate Editor in The Republic and recently placed 1st in the National Schools Press Conference, Collaborative and Desktop Publishing-English. She is also known for her volunteer works in Aklatang Gabriel A. Bernardo as the Secretary, and through various hosting activities in her alma mater. In a world where biases towards Humanities and Social Sciences can not be constantly found, Aini stands in her belief that choosing HUMSS is choice she'll never regret, and she's pushing us, the masses, and even powerful institutions to choose HUMSS too.

Francine Baluyot

Francine DC. Baluyot, a soon-to-be Grade 12 Student pursuing the Accountancy, Businesses, and Management Track with a passion for leadership and innovation in the business world. Beyond academics, she leads a vibrant life as a freelance Tiktok Manager and the founder of a freelance learning community, driven by her belief in limitless possibilities and the value of independence. With her sights set on a successful future, she is determined to leave a mark by trailblazing her own path. Her relentless drive and boundless creativity inspire those around her to embrace their unique potential and seize every opportunity that comes their way.

Gabriela Cristin Santos

Gabriela Santos is an incoming Grade 12 Student under the Humanities and Social Sciences strand of Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School. She aims to share her experiences and learnings from the challenges she faced throughout her life journey. She intend to always look for the beauty of each things that is why she believes that everything in life has a purpose no matter how small or big it is.

Jan Edred Hernandez

Jan Edred Carbonell Hernandez is a Freshie from Bulacan State University and is the proud Outgoing President of OBRA and Alumni of the Arts and Design track of MHPNHS. He is a notorious inamorato – a hopeless romantic, who frees his love to the world through art. Though challenged in the field of romance, his advocacy to create free and freeing art provided a safe space for a creative community. Through his triumphs, heartbreaks, and breakthroughs, he believes he could live forever – but not in the way that you think.

John Rhodli Cruz

Rhodli Cruz is a current Grade 12 student under the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand. He is a member of KOLAB Social Science Ed Collective under Lupon ng Saliksikan He strongly believes in continuous self growth and learning as he wants to experience life to its fullest potential. Which is why he aims to share his experience on how he was able to rekindle his joy in learning and growth as he believes it will help students who may feel overwhelmed by the possible challenges they may face in their high school journey.

Justin Kristoffer Joaquin

From the classrooms of Balagtas National Agricultural High School (BNAHS) to the hallways of Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School (MHPNHS), he has navigated the thrilling journey of STEM. As a pioneer in the Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) program at BNAHS, he triumphed over challenges and emerged stronger. Now, as the incumbent External Vice President of the iRISE organization at MHPNHS, he continues to shine, aiming to be one of the school’s most prominent students. Join him as he rides the rollercoaster of STEM - a journey that’s as exhilarating as it is challenging. A ride that soars to dizzying heights of innovation, deep dives into the depths of curiosity, and twists and turns through the thrill of discovery. A journey that can be scary and nerve-wracking, but it’s also where the magic happens. It’s where joy and thrill coexist on the same plane, creating an unforgettable ride that nurtures future innovators and shapes the minds for the limitless horizon ahead.

Paul Anthony Mendoza

Paul Anthony B. Mendoza is a Master Teacher II and currently the Head of the Languages Group at Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School. He studied Master of Arts in Education, Major in English Language Teaching at the Philippine Normal University. He has served as a National Trainer and Speaker for the Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE), Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD), and Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD). He has also evaluated textbook and learning materials for the Bureau of Resources (BLR). He is a Curriculum Evaluator for Grade 7 English (BCD) and one of the Curriculum Validator the MELCS in English. He evaluated the Philippine Language Curriculum to implemented in the SY 2024.

Romar Almoguez

Meet the adventurous scholar, Scout Romar Almoguez, a Grade 12 STEM student with an insatiable appetite for knowledge and a deep-rooted passion for scouting. He enjoys the warmth of a crackling campfire under the night sky as he listens to the chirping insects and feels the gentle, cool breeze touch his skin. Recently, he represented the school and the Philippines in the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea where he met different nationalities across the globe, shared cultures, and acquired lifelong experiences.

Tiffany Ansei Garcia

Tiffany Ansei D. Garcia is currently a Senior High School student pursuing the Humanities and Social Science strand with a specialization in Psychology. Alongside her studies, she is a member of an academic organization, the KOLAB Social Science Ed Collective in Lupon ng Kasapian. With her unyielding passion for understanding human behavior and interactions, Tiffany has actively engaged in different clubs and organizations throughout her academic journey. Her experiences and pursuit of genuine connections have led her on a remarkable path of self-discovery and insights into finding happiness not driven by things that make other people happy.
