Taking advantage of his weaver's spirit and creative energy, self-taught textile designer Gaurang Shah, has created excitement for over 800 weavers from across India when their motivation was fading away.In a short span of time, Gaurang has initiated a Jamdani Weaves Wave with his nature-inspired design in India, which made a significant economic impact, collaborates and motivates Master weavers in the villages of Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kolkata, Kashmir, Maharastra, Punjab, Uttarpradesh, Kerela, Bangladesh and did it all by following his single-minded vision to make Indian weaves popular with intriguing design, texture, and pattern. Gaurang has won the National Award for Best Costume Designer for Telugu Film Mahanati, Award at the Lakme Fashion Week, Winter/Festive in 2012. He has showcased at more than 22 seasons of Lakme Fashion Week, Berlin Fashion Week and has done private shows in India and abroad including a show at the IIFA awards, Singapore in 2015.

Her first Guru was Ustad Shujat Hussain of the Rampur gharana.This was followed by her training in Gorakhpur from Ustad Rahat Ali Khan who further diversified her knowledge in various forms of Indian semi classical and light music. Having completed her post-graduation in music from Lucknow’s renowned Bhatkhande Sangeet University.
