Launched in 2015, TEDxVITPune is a collaboration between Vishwakarma Institute of Technology’s students and the large Pune community to bring Technology, Entertainment, and Design from various visionaries, intellectuals, and doers, right to our doorstep. Our events feature interdisciplinary presenters, expressing their thoughts, experiences, projects, and visions to promote the ideals of TED. TEDxVITPune was among the first TEDx events in Pune and has grown to be a premier platform for furthering TED's mission of 'Ideas Worth Spreading', within its local community. Over the past nine events, TEDxVITPune has brought together visionaries, thinkers, and doers of different disciplines from around the country to create a one-day event filled with ideas and discussions that contribute to meaningful change.

Ameera Patankar

Classical Dancer | Artist | Choreographer

Ameera Patankar, an Economics graduate, passionately embraced dance as her calling. She began her Kathak journey with Smt. Shama Bhate at Nadroop, Pune. Distinguished in her craft, Ameera clinched first place at Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune University, and secured a National scholarship from the Ministry of Culture. Celebrated as a soloist, Ameera has illuminated stages at esteemed festivals, including Kathak Mahotsav by Kathak Kendra in Delhi and Raindrops Festival in Mumbai. Ameera is a leading dancer, trainer, and event coordinator at Nadroop, Pune. She has performed in numerous choreographies by Guru Shama Bhate at major festivals in India and in countries like Austria, France, Israel, South Korea, China, Qatar, etc. Her choreographic genius shines in pieces like "Mirror Mirror on the Wall", "Kavi, Kalam aur Hum", "Ekayan": a fusion of Kathak and Yoga, etc. Her dedication was recently honored with the prestigious RangaSetu Fellowship from Maharashtra Cultural Centre, Pune.

Aneesha Nayak

Innovator | Surfer | Explorer

As a young innovator, Aneesha has represented India internationally, winning a bronze medal at the prestigious I-SWEEEP in Texas, and gold medals at I-Fest in Tunisia, showcasing her expertise in environmental management and pollution. Aneesha is one of India's youngest surfers. She has excelled in sports, placing in national and international surfing competitions and being part of documentaries and digital series by MTV which highlight her inspiring journey. But Aneesha's impact goes beyond accolades, as she has also worked with charitable projects in France and Sri Lanka, empowering women through her passion and dedication.

Bhaskar Shejwal

Psychologist | Professor Emeritus | Researcher

Prof. Bhaskar Shejwal is currently the Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychology at S.P. Pune University, where he has taught for over 35 years. His extensive expertise and research in the disciplines of personality and stress have led to the publication of more than 50 research papers at national and international conferences. Prof. Bhaskar specializes in Industrial Psychology and has provided consulting services to numerous corporate and state organizations, including established corporations such as Mahindra & Mahindra Nashik and the Reserve Bank of India.

Hruitvik Ambekar

Shuttler | Prodigy | Intellectual

Hruitvik is an International Badminton Player having formerly Ranked in the Top 140 in the World (BWF World Tour Rankings) and has represented India in World Tour Superseries Tour 500 level tournaments all across the globe. Hruitvik was Shortlisted in the "20 Most Brilliant Indians Across the World" for his accomplishments in various walks of life.

Madhuri Bhaduri

Painter | Contemporary Artist | Luminary

Madhuri Bhaduri is a successful artist that has been exhibiting her art work all across the globe since the past four decades. Her first solo exhibition was held in Pune in 1986, displaying all of her work. Over the years, her work has been featured in nearly 50 solo exhibitions and 100 plus group shows in renowned art galleries all across the globe. Her paintings and art works are held in over 400 collections owned by discerning institutions and individual connoisseurs. Madhuri’s remarkable work has been felicitated with several prestigious awards like the Amrita Shergill Rashtriya Kala Puraskar by the National Institute of Fine Arts (NIFA) New Delhi, the Exceptional Woman of Excellence in Art award from the Women’s Economic Forum (WEF) at The Hague, Netherlands and Bharat Nirman Foundation’s entrepreneur of the year award in 2018, among others. Not only does she adjudicate for art competitions but also gives lectures and conducts various workshops.

Nishkarsh Sharma

Nishkarsh also extends his knowledge to budding entrepreneurs as a dedicated coach and mentor. Under his guidance, aspirants have unlocked remarkable success, collectively raking in revenues surpassing 50 crores. In every endeavor, Nishkarsh stands as a beacon of excellence and inspiration in the digital business landscape.
