Art imitates life – life imitates art. An assertion often made as a reflection of imaginative progression. “World’s Imagined”, our future is in our hands, the only limitations are our imagination – the courage to dream, the hustle to make it true, and the passion in taking the leap and basking in triumph. It is no surprise that we need to constantly be willing to accept change, and hence the best way to do it would be to idealize the best form of that change, imagining and setting the highest bars, and eventually working towards ensuring the world in the future becomes just as beautiful, plentiful and refined as we imagined it to be.
It is a pleasure to announce that on 10th March 2023, Universal Business School, for the first time, will be hosting TEDxUBS – “World’s Imagined” under the prestigious and critically acclaimed banner of TED. We are thrilled to be a TEDx licensee and have become a part of the TED legacy, a globally recognizable brand that has brought forth an array of noteworthy events and conventions where prominent personalities have shared and inculcated an assortment of ideas, thoughts, and perceptions.

Business and Technology, Sustainability, Unsung heroes, Entertainment, and Sustainability with AI, our top contenders when it comes to imagining a better future for the world, rest in these broad topics. By compartmentalizing and assimilating the future of these five, we can start to construct a pragmatic imagination for the future we want to live in, for the future generations yet to come, thereby taking a step towards the ascension for improvement and development – “World’s Imagined”

On the distinguished day of the event, there will be insightful discussions, divided into five main branches – Business and Technology, Sustainability, Unsung heroes, Entertainment, and Sustainability with AI.
Business and Technology are the primary contributors to innovation, scaling, and the predominant economic driving factor that can enable a nation to grow into a financial behemoth. Efficient commercialization and constant technological metamorphosis enable a nation to pull itself out of economic and financial complications and eventually become an independent and self-reliant nation, fostering stability.

Sustainability, especially in business practices encourage the use of greener technologies and supports the growth of smaller companies. Additionally, people are valued more highly by sustainable organizations, which results in better hiring procedures. Therefore, sustainability is crucial for employment and contributes to the sustainability of the economy, and also defends the biodiversity of our planet at the same time.
Unsung heroes – the people who we often overlook, whose contributions are often taken for granted, are something the speakers in this event will talk about with fervor and zeal. When we grab a fistful of names of the innovators, the change-bringers, the disruptors who shape the world into a better place to live in, many falls between the cracks and are often forgotten, underappreciated, and surmised as uncredited in the history book.
Artificial Intelligence and machine learning are rapidly changing our world and powering the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Less paperwork, quicker responses, and a more efficient bureaucracy – AI has the power to drastically change public administration, financial transformation, innovation, and prosperity. The question is – are we ready for it?
With the advent of life-changing applications being molded daily and overhauled systematically, most are still trying to catch up and the few who are up to date with the latest are unsure about the instinctive and overarching benefits, along with how the future would look like. AI is fair to say, has taken over almost all industries – at least to some extent. For individual consumers, the tempting applications that one can use to become more productive, creative, and dynamic are foreshadowing a radical change in how we use technology and our fundamental relationship with it.

Harpita Pandian is a young student entrepreneur, technology and innovation trailblazer and an inspiration to all budding entrepreneurs. She, along with her twin brother Harpith Pandian, have travelled to hundreds of schools to inspire kids to become leaders and high achievers. Together with her brother, she has co-founded over 3 organisations. One of them is Classminds, where over 8000 students from over 12 countries have enrolled and enriched their Spelling, Language & Communication Skills. She is also the co-founder of Astralogic Innovation Systems - an Artificial Intelligence Company and Youth Inspire Talks, a societal movement started to better the future generation. Via the Kalvi TV Channel and the TamilNadu State Government, the twin were producing educational videos for 12 million government school children. With over 14 national and international awards such as Cambridge ICE Award Distinction and over 9 certification courses, she is a true visionary and inspiration for us all.

Leena Kejriwal

Founder of MISSING

Leena Kejriwal is s a photographer and installation artist who has strived towards dismantling the repulsive network of human trafficking to make the world a better place to live in. She launched MISSING, a public artwork and campaign, to extend and realize her vision and effectively raze human trafficking and spread awareness. Since 2014, She has run successful national and international crowdfunding campaigns to garner support and raise awareness of the plight of young girls lost in the murky world of sex trafficking. MISSING was first presented at the India Art Fair to rave reviews on both the national and international levels. The initiative is a game changer in this area since it combines art and technology to bring about social change. The MISSING Public art project has evolved, the street stencil art project has gone viral since 2015, and The Women and Child Development and Welfare ministry has joined hands with the MISSING public campaign to spread awareness.

Manish Godkhindi

ESG & SUSTAINABILITY DATA EXECUTIVE

Mr. Manish Godkhindi is a visionary with over 10 years of extensive experience using data and digital to address sustainability issues. Extensive professional expertise in the IT, digital, data, and AI industries spanning more than 25 years. He managed multimillion-dollar P&L, CXO-levelMr relationships, and ESG Data start-up acquisitions. He has been in multiple renowned organisations in salient positions – being the Sr. Manager at Tata Interactive Systems, Regional Sales Manager at SIFY, Sr. Sales Manager at IBM India, Energy, Utilities and Sustainability at Infosys, and Global Managing Partner and Head - Analytics Lab at ERM. He completed his post-graduation certificate in sustainability from the famed University of Cambridge and is extremely passionate about leveraging data, digital and AI, and operationalizing sustainability.

Pankti Pandey is an Environmentalist, Minimalist and Zero Waste practitioner. She has been advocating for sustainable living and creating a conscious community and has influenced countless and innumerable people to lead a better and more “environment-conscious lifestyle”, reducing waste and reusing more. To be sustainable, a society must be able to meet its demands without compromising those of future generations – living by this guiding principle, she has shown, through action, how to better ourselves when it comes to living green. She was awarded Forbes India's Top 100 digital star and is the chairperson of the NGO Haath se Haat - aiming to improve the socioeconomic status of Indian artisans. As an active social media influencer, she posts awe-inspiring posts on how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
