Katie Wang

Speaker
Katie Wang is a junior at Peachtree Ridge High School. Her TEDx Talk will analyze the power of self-love and confidence in overcoming one's limits, especially during challenging times. Katie is currently the Programming Lead of her school's Robotics team and placed first in the systems software category with a $500 scholarship at the 2021 Gwinnett science fair. During the pandemic, she helped create 7 coding lessons and instructed over 100 girls as the Content Lead of CodeHers Collective, a non-profit organization. She is also a hackathon enthusiast and has developed several award-winning websites and mobile apps to support those with mental health problems. When she's not stressing over broken code, Katie is usually watching café vlogs of yummy desserts or practicing piano.

Pallavi Dokka

Speaker
Pallavi Dokka is a junior at Northview High School. Her foundation for her TED Talk lies within her passion for biology (more specifically its subfield neuroscience). Ever since her friend's mother was diagnosed with stage four ALS, her life has been turned completely, for the better and the worse; she has only been further intrigued to solve the mystery of one of the world's most inexplicable diseases. Ever since last year when she found out, she has taken steps to work towards a solution for her situation, including starting Northview's very first neuroscience club chapter for the International Youth Neuroscience Association and collaborating with the National Psychology Honors Society this year. However, she believes there are many more people who she could capture the attention of to her story.

Soon, he started to develop a love for playing basketball with his friends and filming videos of him doing simple magic tricks. Since then, he started to perform magic tricks for numerous organizations. During the summer, he would often visit Taiwan and give presentations to elementary kids about the cultural differences of America and Taiwan.
