In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jonathan Lopez

Jonathan Lopez is a dual citizen of Colombia and Canada. Born and raised in Medellin, Jonathan developed a strong entrepreneurial spirit that has led him to seek opportunities around the world. Subsequently, Jonathan was chosen as a Schwarzman Scholar to complete a master’s degree in Global Affairs – Business and Economics at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Jonathan used to work at ByteDance, the world’s most valuable unicorn start-up, doing strategy for TikTok in Latin America. Currently, he’s in Blockchain Gaming, leading Global Business Development partnerships and Venture Capital investments for MixMarvel, Asia’s leading publisher, incubator and investor of Web3 Games. Jonathan aims to become a businessman, entrepreneur, and investor; an inspirational figure and leader; a philanthropist; and a Colombian diplomat, or why not, President.
