Performing Arts Teacher, Actress, Singer and Choreographer

Alexia is a wife and mother of 3 handsome boys. She is a performing arts teacher, actress, singer and choreographer. Was diagnosed with breast cancer on year 2020, facing her greatest fear gave her a new perspective on life and purpose. She decided to do a Ted talk because she needs to share all that she has learned in this journey called cancer survivor.

Anaid de Loy

Head of Cunas de Cartón

Wife and Mother of two kids. She is director of Cuna de Cartón in El Salvador and the Project of "Escudo de la Dignidad". Although she is internatiolist of profession, she has always had marketing in her heart. She has represented Cuna de Cartón in Ecuador and México, and she has guided workshops like Unbox Your Kindness, Social of Good and The Good Influence. She firmly beleives in the positive impactthat people can have in others, and helping others get their best version of themselves.

Andrea Kopper

Psychologist and Business manager, Mental Health Advocate

Passionate mental health advocate, studied Psychology and Business Management in the United States and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has participated as a speaker on wellness programs and workshops of several companies in El Salvador addressing mental health-related topics. She is the founder of Mentis, a start up project that promotes mental health through psychoeducational content on social media. Andrea loves the beach and enjoys time in the sun and on the water with her family and friends. It is very easy to make her laugh and she enjoys the little things such as playing with her dogs or drinking a cup of coffee. Her favorite quote is, there is nothing more courageous than being human because in our vulnerability we find our strength. She wants to fight against mental health stigma, that's why she is actively talking about the importance of taking care of your mind as you take care of your body.

Carlos Araujo

High School Student

Carlos Arturo Araujo Aguillón is a senior at Highlands International School San Salvador, he will present the importance of social commitment. In his free time he plays sports such as soccer, he is also co-captain of the Spanish debate team and is the founder of an international organization with social and academic purposes called “Cubre, Come y Crece”. He is a faithful believer and characteristically advocates that solidarity, support and awareness are indispensable aspects for all human beings, which is why Albert Schweitzer's phrase "The purpose of human life is to serve, to show compassion and a willingness to help others" resonates so strongly with him. From that message, he conveys the importance of service and promotes social acts as the most important practices.

Claudia Castillo

Marketing Professional and Media Communitations

Claudia is a 44 years old, happy wife and mother of Isabella, 9 years old. She is a Marketing professional, leading Media Communications in Unilever, who will be talking about the power of the words. She is ready to change the way you view yourself. She is part of the Catholic Community El Salvador del Mundo Familiar, she preaches in the different groups within the community around the country. She loves to spend time with her family and her dogs, either at home, or having fun exploring the beach or the lake. She is from Guatemala, but has lived in El Salvador, Colombia and Honduras. Claudia is very positive, full of energy and enthusiasm. Her life purpose is bringing light and peace everyday to those around her, that is why she has decided to take this first step in a TED talk. Her favorite quote, Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Isabel Samour

High School Student

Isabel is a 10th grade student at Highlands International School San Salvador, who will be talking about how happiness is a perspective and a decision. In her spare time, she pursues an interest in dancing, playing the ukulele, drawing and writing. She believes that those who take risks and accept all chances and opportunities are the bravest and most special people in the world. The quote she identifies herself with is “We rise by lifting others” – Robert Ingersoll. Isabel is characterized for her resoluteness and social sensibility. She believes that by taking the opportunity of creating a TED talk, she can impact people and change their mindset on what happiness really is.

Professor of master's and postgraduate degrees in the area of public relations, marketing and online advertising. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing sports, recording podcasts and videos, She is characterized by being a creative person, committed to her values and is always ready to support others.
