In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Aisha Lowe

Student
Aisha Lowe is a Grade 11 student at Aditya Birla World Academy. She has been featured in the 'Leaders of Tomorrow' podcast series by the Free Press Journal. Her interests lay in writing poetry, advocating feminism, and playing football. Aisha's talk at TEDxYouth@ABWA focuses on finding the 'true' emotional seven wonders of the world. She focuses on deriving happiness from the simplicity that we, as individuals, fail to appreciate.

Anya Gupta

Student
Anya Gupta is a 9th-grade student at the Aditya Birla World Academy. She always had a passion for public speaking and excels in English and Art. Her TEDxYouth@ABWA speech focuses on a common issue that the majority of individuals face; sleep deprivation. It explores the causes of sleep deprivation and shares personal experiences along with scientific facts which help the audience relate to and understand the roots of their sleep deprivation.

Gayatri Kapoor

Student
Gayatri Kapoor is an AS Level Grade 11 student at the Aditya Birla World Academy. She is an avid reader and writer and has published a book of poetry, 20 by 20. She is interested in behavioural and cognitive psychology and English literature. Gayatri's talk at TedxYouth@ABWA focuses on her relationship with her brother and autism. She discusses the experience of having an autistic sibling and the highs and lows of their journey together.

Isha’s talk on the TEDxYouth@ABWA focuses on the importance of first impressions, highlighting the thought behind every first impression one makes through humorous and factual perspectives.

Keisha Shah

Student
Keisha Shah is a Grade 9 student at Aditya Birla World Academy. She is the founder and the owner of a small handmade jewelry business called moonjewelrybykeisha and is enthralled by Economics and Chemistry. Keisha's talk at TEDxYouth@ABWA is based on overthinking since she herself is an overthinker. She discusses her need to overanalyse situations and further goes on to talk about the psychology of overthinking.

Saanvii Dak

Student
Saanvii Dak is a Grade 9 student at the Aditya Birla World Academy who has a keen passion for different sports and enjoys spending her time out in fresh air. Her interests lie in Business, Finance, Chemistry, Basketball, Computer Science as well as Reading. She has founded The Anxiety Awareness Project, and is managing other initiatives side-by-side as well. Her love for helping others and public speaking is clearly showcased in her talk at the TedxYouth@ABWA. Since her curious mind loves to question everything around her, analyzing the hidden meanings of why things work the way they do, she gives the audience a different viewpoint as to why you should cycle and what it teaches you. She delves deep into the hidden meanings of this sport besides its shallow physical benefits known to the world, and rides into a fully comprehensive and affirmative talk, persuading you to start cycling.

Sahitra Bhat

Sahitra Bhat is a Grade 11 student at Aditya Birla World Academy. She enjoys several forms of creative expression- be it writing, theatre or music! She has been learning speech and drama for five years and enjoys public speaking. As an aspiring student of media, she has always wondered how advertisements work. So, her talk at this TedxYouth@ABWA focuses on her observations about the world of advertisements and the various creative processes that go into making any advertisement memorable.

Siya Agarwal is a Grade 9 IGCSE student at the Aditya Birla World Academy. She is part of the school newsletter, an avid reader and loves sharing her thoughts and ideas with others through writing and speech. Her talk at the TEDxYouth@ABWA shares discovering herself and navigating her life through stories. The books she’s read have played an integral role in making her feel less alone and finding a home with these characters. She discusses the psychology behind how these stories shape us and why we connect with them so deeply.

Svara Kasliwal is an 8th grader at Aditya Birla World Academy. She is very keen on the topics based on emotional health and psychology. Her talk at TEDxYouth@ABWA focuses on the effect of using mental issues as common day-to-day language and she talks about her beloved grandmother who is battling anxiety and depression.

Vedant Agarwal

Student
Vedant Agarwal is a grade 6 student at Aditya Birla World Academy. He is interested in different sports like football and basketball. He plays video games in his free time. Due to online school and spending a lot of time online, he learnt the importance of having reliable sources. He himself believed in a fake news website that he then later did research on. In his talk at TEDxYouth@ABWA about fake news, he highlights the importance in communicating the right sources. He shows us how to differentiate credible news articles against fake ones.

Vihan Vora

Student
Vihan Vora is an IBDP student in grade 11 at Aditya Birla World Academy. He has passionately worked on multiple projects including his school robotics team, interned at India’s International Movement to Unite Nations and participated in multiple Model United Nations while also having a keen interest in Physics,Technology and Computers which he plans to explore further in the future. But how did he decide to take on these projects and interests? How will he decide what initiatives to take on in the future? In this talk at TedxYouth@ABWA Vihan addresses one of the most challenging problems he faces in almost every project or initiative of his:decision making. Every time he’s faced with a choice, ideas race through his head, and his mind he wonders what choice is the best for him,or what essentially makes a choice the best, or if there even is a ‘best’ choice. Unless, of course, he saves himself from all the hassle by simply flipping a coin and letting it decide.
