In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dr. Dattesh Prabhu Parulekar is working as a research director in an Indian School of Strategic Studies, Goa and visiting faculty at Naval War College, INS Mandovi, Goa.He is also an advisory member of Academic Council, India Studies Program and State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is a Secretary-General of United Nations Association of Goa and Vice President of Forum for Integrated National Security, Goa. Dr. Prulekar has completed his PhD under Fullbright Junior Research Fellowship in International Relations and completed masters in International Studies. His areas of specialization are US Foreign Policy, India’s Foreign Policy and Diplomacy, International Organizations (UN), Strategic Affairs w.r.t, West Asia, Political Economy, America etc. He has attended various conferenes nationally and internationally in U.S., Israel, Nepal, Myanmar, Brazil, Bosnia Herzegovina etc. He has also published multiple research articles in Journal and edited books.

Durga Shakti Nagpal

Ms Durga Shakti Nagpal is a civil servant in the UP cadre of the Indian Administrative Service. She had the guts to take action against UP state's sand mafia in the year 2013. Known for the fearless and the strongest action against the invincible and dreaded illegal sand miners, in her very first posting in Uttar Pradesh in Noida. Durga stood with the poor villagers who were getting displaced due to rapidly eroding river bank owing to rampant illegal mining. She was removed from Noida which saw nationwide protests against her removal. She was finally reinstated due to national pressure. Noida episode is perceived to be a victory of the oppressed classes against the prevalent corruption and criminalisation in politics. Durga continues to serve with the same zeal and responsibility bearing hopes of many from the far corners of the country. She currently serves as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Commerce in Govt of India

Manoshi Sinha

Ms. Manoshi Sinha, a celebrated author with eight titles to her name, covering a plethora of genres. Known for debunking and refuting numerous myths associated with mythical characters through her work, she also uses her skill to shed light on various pressing issues like the plight faced by women in Assam in her book ‘Stigma of Womanhood’. ‘My India, My Glory’, an e-zine pioneered by Ms. Sinha, is one of the well received and much coveted initiatives in the arena of convenient information accessibility dealing with India’s rich and glorious history.
