Here is Alexandria … Here our city shone on the shadows of dark history … Alexandria illuminated the shores of the Mediterranean … Here is the Library of Alexandria, where the roads where paved for science ... Here is the history was made history ... Here Alexandria … Yesterday, today and forever.

The Pharaohs, the Greeks, the Romans, the Arabs, the Berbers, the Kurds and the Shomans passed through from here. The apostles of Christ prospered in Christianity and the Son of Aas entered it as a mercy for the worlds. The emperors of the universe fought over it to write history. But they fled and it remained, from the caliphate to the Fatimids, the Ayyubids, Mamluks and Ottomans. It is still … Alexandria.

In all countries of the world you find an identity … But in Alexandria you find that it's alone an identity ... It does not prevent you being "Alexandrian" to be a Muslim of Greek origin or even Pharaonic ... Or that your ancestors came from Italy or Germany, or Armenia in search of safety or Circassia in search of Science ... White or brown skin ... Similar to the Nile or similar to the Mediterranean … Syrian, Sudanese, Yemeni, Iraqi, Libyan, or Palestinian ... All that does not matter … As long as it's features in your blood, you belong to it … As long as you come in peace, you live in peace … As long as you accept everyone ... Welcome to Alexandria.

Today we announce the slogan of the year of the TEDxSanStefano Conference … The mast of the world held by all who wants to express his love for her and her love to him ... Alexandria The International City … now receives you speakers and supporters and attendees to participate in its global multi-national conference ... Global ideas was made in Alexandria ... On a day like this Alexandria may look like the seven continents clashing together. But believe us, these are the Alexandian of origin, blood and spirit. It is enough for every lover of Alexandria to obtain his independence from his love.

The international city ... Our slogan this year ... Universally in his ideas ... Science and culture, ideas and arts ... Worldly in its content ... Global in all the meaning of the word ... TEDxSanStefano from the heart of the global multi-national.
This is what you will find ... This is what we are.
