Theme: Hungry for Action

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alexandra Anton

Alexandra started her career in education in 2004. Over the past 13 years she has been concerned about her professional development and worked with a wide range of ages (2-77 years) both in kindergartens, in private schools and international, as well as important corporations. In 2011 she chose to become a student once again, graduating three years later a Master in Education, Media and Educational Systems at Turku University in Finland. The experience gained in teaching, but also in the Ministry of Education (as intern) and in the NGO environment (as Educational Program Manager), convinces her that she's place is close to people.

Flavian Glonț

Flavian's story began in 2013 when he found a Rubik Cube in a bag of puffs. He discovered immediately after that there was a whole sport behind that toy, so he decided to teach him. His determination made him ,in just a few years, known in the entire world.

Gianina Elena Beleaga and Ionela Livia Cozmiuc

Gianina Beleaga and Ionela Livia Cozmiuc are the Moldavians who have "written history" for the last two years for Romania. Ionela Livia Cozmiuc and Gianina Elena Beleaga started the canoeing at an early age; Ionela at the age of 14 and Gianina at the age of 13. They are currently part of the Olympic rowing team since 2015, even if they were still in the youth category, Under 23.

Ilinca Istrate

Actor and puppeteer, Ilinca performs his artistic activity independently but also as an employee of Bacovia Municipal Theater of Bacau.

Irina Stanciuc

Irina travels a lot but every day, for 15 years, she leads people. Large teams, over two hundred employees, in six cities in Romania, in two retail multinationals. Speaker, trainer and sommelier, Irina is passionate about developing people and finding creative solutions.

Iulian Angheluță

Iulian is the founder of the Free Miorița Association, an NGO which has been involved in social projects for a few years now.

Lucian Mîndruță

Lucian Mîndrută is one of the most experienced journalists in Romania, aviator and media trainer.

Lucian Popa

Lucian Popa, initiator of numerous social-cultural and educational projects, photographer, passionate about traveling and nature, promoter of actions for preserving a healthy and clean environment. Among the projects he was involved are Bacau Youth Capital of Romania, I.D. Fest, Street Delivery Bacau, Zidart and the Let's Trip travel and exploration project.

Vasi Rădulescu

Vasi Rădulescu is a cardiologist and founder of the #leapşadesanătate project, a medical education platform with articles for everyone. He is also the author of Dear Hearts and Colors of Forgetting. Vasi was included in the "100 de oameni pentru România de mâine" selection made by the prestigious publication Decat o Revistă.
