Adithya Jha

Class of 2017

Aditya Jha is Deerfield Academy class of 2017 and resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.

David Miller

Director of Global Studies

David Miller is the Director of Global Studies at Deerfield Academy. David is a seasoned experiential educator and traveler, a SCUBA instructor, and an experienced risk management professional.

Geoff Gordon

Class of 1974

Graduating from Deerfield Academy in 1974, Geoff got into the insurance business in 1979 and took the lead of his own agency starting in 1987. He spends most of his time working with small business owners to reducing the cost of risk to their business. He is also a bit of an adrenaline junky—measuring risk personally, well outside the business world.

Ivory Hills

Science Instructor

Prior to his arrival at Deerfield Academy, Ivory was a chemist at Merck Pharmaceutical company for nearly six years, where he led sub-teams attempting to develop medicines for Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, and migraine pain. Before he joined Merck he was both a doctoral student and post-doctoral researcher at MIT. There he investigated organic synthesis, metal catalysis, x-ray crystallography, functional polymers, and fluorescent molecules. Ivory teaches AP Chemistry, is the Director of Sustainability, and thinks we learn the most by engaging in properly motivated creative play.

Karen Tai

Class of 2017

Karen Tai is Deerfield Academy class of 2017. Karen is interested in making a impact on the world through creativity and optimism--and especially, science. Karen is passionate about improving the world, and she wants to bring awareness to global food and health problems.

Kiana Rawji

Kiana Rawji is Deerfield Academy class of 2018 and resides in Calgary.

Nadia Jo

Class of 2019

Nadia Jo is Deerfield Academy class of 2019. Nadia has been playing cello for almost 9 years, ranging from solo performances to chamber groups and orchestras.
